Michelle has been my mentor since 2019 and helped me get to where I am today. I went from zero English to attending a college in the United States and now an internship at Disney in Orlando. Without her help and Approach, none of this would have been possible. They were crucial in my journey to success. I came to the United States at the end of 2019, with the dream of getting to Berklee College of Music. I knew that in order for that to happen I would have to go through a couple of other steps. I started studying at Approach to take the TOEFL exam, but my story with the school started much earlier. Since my arrival, Approach has helped me with all my documentation, and my questions and given me the same support of a family. Everyone was always willing to help me to move forward, grow and develop. My biggest supporter during all of these years was Michelle, who welcomed me from the beginning and opened many doors for me, advising me on not only my journey in learning English, but my professional life, my personal development, and, of course, my academic career. I arrived in the United States in 2015 and quickly became a point of reference to help people who were coming to Boston to study at that time. In 2016, I encountered a problem at the school I was attending that involved immigration. So, I looked for a lawyer and had a consultation; the lawyer said that he couldn't solve the problem. That's when I thought, "I'm here helping so many people, but I don't have anyone to help me in this time of great need." It was then that, in a conversation with Michelle, this episode of my life took a different turn. She not only GUIDED me to try to solve the problem, but she also joined the fight alongside me, and thanks to GOD, she resolved an issue that had already been dismissed by a famous Brazilian community lawyer in Massachusetts.
