From 3 to 4:30 on Thursday, May 25th, all of our partners will be present in a Zoom session. Each partner will have a breakout room dedicated to them & students will be given the choice to navigate between all rooms based on their needs & curiosity. Advising will be in the main room explaining to the student what they could do. The screen will be shared in the main room with some information based on the colleges & their programs will be presenetd.
Come prepared: Before attending an information session, do some research on the college or university. Familiarize yourself with their programs, majors, and any other information that interests you. Take notes: Bring a notepad and pen to the session and take notes on the information provided. This will help you remember important details and can be a helpful reference later. Ask questions: Don't be afraid to ask questions during the information session. College representatives are there to help you and answer your questions, so take advantage of the opportunity to learn more. Listen carefully: Pay attention to the information provided and listen carefully to the speakers. This will help you gain a better understanding of the college or university and its programs.
The reason why some colleges have their own spaces on Approach Community is that we have established partnerships with these institutions. As a result, the colleges have been given dedicated spaces on your social platform to promote their programs, events, and other offerings. For students, having access to these college spaces can be a great way to learn more about different colleges and universities and explore their options for higher education. By browsing through the resources and information provided by the colleges, students can gain a better understanding of what each institution has to offer and make more informed decisions about where and how to apply.
