How can I apply for a grace period?

How can I apply for a grace period?

Understanding the 15-day grace period and the 60-day grace period.

If you cannot complete your program due to any circumstances and have to return home, our DSO can authorize a 15-day grace period for “authorized early withdrawal” where you can stop classes and prepare for departure. Note that you must request this authorization prior to stopping classes to avoid termination of your status for “unauthorized withdrawal.” To request a withdrawal and the 15-day grace period, email our DSO at help@approachusa.com.

Once you graduate from your program, you can request a 60-day Grace period to prepare for departure. You may also apply for a new program, change educational levels, or request a transfer to another school during your grace period. The requirements to graduate from programs at Approach are:

  • ESL: successfully complete the ESL level 4B, and pass the CEFR test to C1 (“Use of English,” listening, writing, and speaking assessments).
  • TOEFL, GMAT, GRE, and SAT: successfully complete two-quarters of the program and show final score improvement from first full test simulation to last full test simulation.
  • ADVANCED ACADEMIC PREPARATION: successfully complete the two levels of the program (4 quarters).
  • BUSINESS PROGRAM: successfully complete the two levels of the program (4 quarters).
  • ESL TI: successfully complete the program (two quarters).

If you wish to transfer to another school, you should bring us your acceptance letter and start the transfer process.
